Welcome to Worship at Our Savior’s Lutheran!
We are glad you’re here! Today we are in the second week of a four-week series entitled, “Fit to Serve”. Throughout this series we are learning about what it means to be physically and spiritually fit to better serve God and our neighbors. Today we go beyond the physical and spiritual and hear about how we, as whole people, can best serve. Using what is called the “Wholeness Wheel” we’ll look at not only the physical and spiritual components to our overall fitness, but also the emotional, intellectual, financial, social and vocational parts of who God created us to be as whole beings. It is good you’re here this day. Peace and welcome to you!

Fit to Serve — Hydration Station Fundraiser. As part of our congregations’ focus on Fit to Serve, we are highlighting the wellness efforts that we already have in place. If you haven’t seen them, walk around the church and find the Wellness Room; the four standing desks; and the indoor and outdoor walking maps. And to add to our wellness atmosphere at Our Savior’s, we are raising funds to install two Hydration Stations. These are drinking fountains with a water bottle filling station. We are trying to raise $3,000 and if you donate at least $20, we will reward you with a Fit to Serve aluminum water bottle. Please look for the Fit to Serve display in the Gathering Area from now until October 9th. Help us be a congregation focused on wellness by making a donation! Remember cash or checks only. Thank you!
Tenth Triennial Gathering – Women of the ELCA The Tenth Triennial Gathering of Women of the ELCA will be happening in Minneapolis July 13-16, 2017. And there will be special events where women in their 20s and 30s can eat chocolate and join others to run it off later. Registration information and general information can be found on the women’s bulletin board across from the office work room. Or, check out the web site, www.welcatg.org for complete information. Community Vigil for Hope and Healing. As a response to the brokenness and suffering so prevalent around us, the faith communities of the St. Croix Valley are joining together to host a community-wide Vigil for Hope and Healing on October 9 from 6:00-6:45 pm on the Green Space, corner of 4th and Myrtle Streets in Stillwater. The event will feature singer/songwriter Peter Mayer. Bring a neighbor. Invite a stranger!. Come to share the assurance that God’s “love is stronger than fear, life stronger than death, hope stronger than depair.”
