90th Birthday Celebration — The family of Bette Bealka would like to extend an invitation to her church family and friends to join them in a celebration of Bette’s 90th birthday. The open house will be held TODAY from 1:30-4:30 pm here at Our Savior’s Lutheran.

Vacation Bible School (VBS). We are looking for two people who would be interested in helping a special needs child during VBS week (July 31 – August 4, 9:00 am – noon). Please contact Darla Goble at 651-439-5704, ext. 32 or if you can assist. Thank you!

Today we welcome Luka Eugene Finley into the Kingdom of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism! Luka is the son of Mikaela Bealka & Scott Finley. His sponsors are Elena Ecklund, Becca Johnson & Cody Finley. Luka will be baptized at the 9:30 am service today.

Bible Study in the Park — Tuesday, August 8, is the next Bible Study in the Park. It will once again be held at Valley View Park at 9:30 am. Our Youth Director, Chad Larson, will lead this study which was written by Kelly Fryer. A description from the author – “Upending the tables – What is our responsibility when the very systems that have been put in place to protect people and make sure justice is done become tools to oppress? Do we just stand by and allow injustice to continue?” There will be a continental breakfast as well so bring a friend and join in for a good study and good fellowship.

Support Relay For Life. Today Sandra Roslin will have a table in the Gathering Area for people to purchase luminaries and raffle tickets for Relay For Life. The mission of Relay For Life is to raise funds to improve cancer survival, decrease the incidence of cancer, and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their caretakers. Please stop by Sandra’s table and help support this worthy cause. Thank you!

Grocery Shopping for Seniors — Amy Sievers is volunteering to take seniors grocery shopping. She will pick you up, shop with you and get you home and groceries unpacked. There is no fee for this service and all payment transactions at the store will be handled by the senior. Amy is a bargain hunter and excited to provide this service to the OSLC senior community. Please contact Parish Nurse, Jean Pottratz at or call 651-439-5704 ext. 24. The information will be passed on to Amy and she will contact the senior. Thank you Amy.
