Altar Flowers today are given by Don & Irene Dau in celebration of their 54th wedding anniversary.
Adult Education today at 9:15 am in the Sanctuary: Guest Speaker Kay Kuehn, from Open Hands Ministry, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Paul Midway. Next week, Oct. 15: Church History 101—Part 1 — Guest Speaker Dave Shaw, OSLC member. An overview of the events and personalities that formed the core doctrine of the Christian Church .
Prayers for Guatemala Team: Today Sandy Fabio and Becky Maier will be traveling to visit our brothers and sisters at our companion congregation in Zaculeu, Guatemala. They will spend the week sharing worship, meals, activities and relationships. Please pray for them as they bring the love of Our Savior’s to Guatemala.
Graduate Connection — On October 25 Our Savior’s will be sending care packages to our 2017 high school graduates and will be needing cookies to send in those packages. If you would be willing to bake cookies, please let Nancy Fjestad (email@example.com) or Becky Maier (firstname.lastname@example.org) know. Cookies can be delivered to church on the Oct. 24th or early on the Oct 25th. Many thanks in advance!
Cluster Meeting at Our Savior’s — Women from the East Central Cluster of the Saint Paul Area Synod will enjoy time with Katie Luther on Thursday, October 26, at 6:30 pm at Our Savior’s. This year of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation is a perfect time to learn more about the woman beside the man. Pati Kachel will present a costumed introduction and tribute to this founding mother of our Lutheran faith. Registration is $5.00. A monetary offering will go to Women of the ELCA Katie’s Fund and the St Paul Area SWO. Material offerings will go to Babies Need Boxes (infant supplies for at risk families). The list of items needed is on the women’s bulletin board across from the office.
Christmas Wreath Sale — Ben and Henry Stoffer will be in the Gathering area today and on Wednesday, Oct. 11, Christmas wreaths. The Stoffer boys represent Stillwater Cub Scout Pack 125. Stop by and support the troop!

Mid-week Counter Needed: We are looking for a volunteer who would be willing to work with other individuals on Tuesdays, 11:30 am—12:15/12:30 pm as a mid-week counter. Meals from the Heart — Hope Starts When Hunger Ends! Sign-up to help pack meals at “Meals from the Heart” by Mano Amiga on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, from 4 to 6 pm at 5600 Memorial Ave which is located behind Stillwater Motors (on the same side of the road as the Post Office). We are looking for participants to donate 2 hours of their time and a donation of $10 per participant. The $10 must be paid no later than the Wednesday before the event (Nov. 1). Checks should be made out to OSLC with “meal packing” in the memo line and dropped in the slot on the Welcome Desk. The additional $15/person needed will be covered by Mission & Outreach and memorial funds. People doing the meal packing event should dress in casual clothes…things that could get dirty/dusty and you must wear close-toed shoes. Sign-up sheet is located on the Welcome Desk in the Gathering Area.

Church Assessment Tool (CAT): All member & friends of OSLC are asked to fill out the Church Assessment Tool (CAT) survey that was emailed to households on Sept. 29. The link is also available on the home page of our website, www.oslcstillwater.org. The survey including assistance using the tool will be available between services and on Wednesday evenings in the Family Room during the month of October. If you do not wish to complete the survey online, please contact the church office for a printed copy. The information gained from this assessment will be valuable in helping the Church Board of Our Saviors as they make decisions about the future of the congregation.
