Adult Education Sunday, February 4 @ 9:15 am: Stephen Ministries. Join Stacy Meyer and others to learn more about Stephen Ministries! Stephen Ministries is a non-profit Christian organization for training laypeople to provide one-to-one care to hurting people in and around your congregation. On February 11 we will have guest speaker Pastor Tim Coltvet from Luther Seminary, titled “Equipping leaders and forming faith: The changing face of seminaries in the ELCA.”

Tubing and Tailgating for All Ages! We will meet in the Green Acres parking lot at 6 pm on February 9 to eat some brats, hot dogs and sip some warm hot chocolate! If you want to tube, you can do that too! Sign-up in the Gathering Area! If tubing, cost is $13/person if paid in advance. Otherwise, it is $15. All sign-ups, waivers and payments need to be submitted TODAY! Waivers and checks can be turned in at the drop box on the welcome desk.
Cookies needed! Our Savior’s cooks will be filling the Thyme for Grace freezer with freshly made meals on February 15. We would like to put homemade cookies with those meals. Please contact Becky Maier (email@example.com) or the church office (651-439-5704) if you can supply cookies for those meals.
Building and Grounds Committee meeting is Monday, February 5 at 6:00 pm in the Family Room. All are welcome. Come and See.
Lenten Soup Suppers — People with servant hearts are needed to assist with our Lenten evening meals beginning Wednesday, February 14. Please sign-up on the poster in the Gathering Area or online under “What’s Happening” on our website if you can bring a crock pot of soup, dessert or if you are willing to help clean up (running the dishwasher, handwashing dishes unable to go through the dishwasher, and other tasks). Join the Orchestra for Easter! Calling all experienced woodwind, brass and string players to join us in enhancing Easter worship at the 8:00 and 9:15 am services. We will rehearse beginning March 11. Please let Michael know if you are interested by February 28. (651-335-1412 or (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you play an instrument, why not play for God’s glory?
Lenten Worship Volunteers — Ushers and communion servers are needed during our evening mid-week services during Lent from February 14 (Ash Wed.) – March 30 (Good Friday). Please sign-up online under “What’s Happening” on the church website or let Kathy in the church office know if you are able to help. Thank you!
OSLC Library. There are many new books available in our church library. Come and See!
February Book of the Month Club. Our next meeting will be on Monday, February 26, to discuss “The Florist’s Daughter” by Patricia Hampl. Books will be available for checkout by Friday, February 2. Check the cupboard under the adult library book shelves.

First Communion Retreat — At Our Savior’s, we have empowered parents to decide when their child is ready to receive instruction to receive Holy Communion.
Who: 1st – 6th graders and a parent / guardian
Date: Monday, March 26 from 6-8 pm (eat before you come)
What to bring: Your Bible

Sibling childcare will be available. Children will receive their First Communion in worship on Maundy Thursday, March 29 at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 4 at 5:30 pm, or Sunday, April 8 at 8:00 or 10:30 am. Choose the service which works best for your family.
Women’s Retreat in April — The 2018 Women’s Retreat is coming up on April 27-28 and will be held this year at Mount Olivet Retreat Center in Farmington. Seaside Escape is the theme and will focus on helping women find rest and relaxation from the hustle and bustle of life as we slow down and spend time with God and one another. The Bible Study will focus on Sarah and Hagar. The cost will be $110 for a double room and $130 for a single room. Registration forms are on the women’s bulletin board. Please include a $25 deposit with your registration with the remainder due the week before the retreat. Looking forward to spending time with our girlfriends!
A Day for Making Comfort. We had a most successful day with 23 quilts completed to be given to those in need both locally and internationally. Thirty women from seven churches participated, some for all 6 hours and others for as long as they were available. This annual event began 9 years ago and has completed over 150 quilts throughout the years. Many thanks to those who participated!

5:15—6:15 pm soup supper followed by worship at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary
Holy Week March 25—April 1: No Faith Formation, Youth Groups or Confirmation
Sunday, March 25: Palm Sunday — Kids process with Palms beginning of worship
Thursday, March 29: Maundy Thursday — Worship at 11:30 am & 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. Communion at both services
Friday, March 30: Good Friday – Worship at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary
Sunday, April 1: Easter Sunday – Worship services at 8:00, 9:15 & 10:30 am in the CLC
Easter Breakfast served between services throughout the morning. All proceeds go towards sending our High School youth to South Carolina for their summer mission trip!
