Thanks for finding us online!
After visiting our website and Facebook page, I hope you will decide to join us in person for worship. There is a critical part of who Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is that cannot be conveyed online. Every Sunday and Wednesday I meet a new visitor to Our Savior’s. Most of them return stating, “We think we have found our new church home!” I am thankful for this.
I pray for you and your family as you search for a community of faith that will comfort, encourage, and challenge you in your walk of faith.
As a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we celebrate (and rely on) God’s grace (gospel), while at the same time, honoring the need for accountability (law). This key component of our Lutheran doctrine and understanding of scripture reminds us that we need a Savior and that Jesus is the Savior we need. We understand the complexity of scripture while honoring its sacred place among us. We welcome and invite the exploration of scripture and are open to differing interpretations of it that are life-enhancing and honor the mission of Jesus.
From my preaching you will hear and experience a sense of passion, authenticity and urgency. Whenever my sermon is done, I ask myself “What has the sermon done?”. My hope is that it has opened up the scripture to you in a way you can understand and apply to your everyday life and living. My hope is that it will lift up the name of Jesus and all that He has taught and continues to teach us. My hope is that it will encourage you in your daily walk with Jesus, while at the same time challenging you in your call to faithful and committed discipleship.
I am never too busy to visit with you more about life and faith. It is my calling. It is what I find joy in doing.
Please visit us, introduce yourself to me and others, and find out if Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is where you’ll meet Jesus in a new and vibrant way.
Peace be with you,
