Announcements for July 4, 2010
Women’s Bible Study in the Park, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. An invitation is extended to all women and friends of Our Savior’s to gather under the shelter at Valley View Park (off Osgood Street – South of Hwy. 36) as Missy Carmack leads the first of two summer sessions focusing on the topic “Pray Always”. An opportunity to share thoughts with women of faith, enjoy a continental breakfast and learn about the importance of being persistent in prayer. A free will offering collected to benefit Katie's Fund. Car pooling available from Our Savior's, for further information, please contact the church office at 439-5704.
Relay for Life Sunday. The Stillwater Relay for Life is coming up in August! On Sunday, July 11, you will have the opportunity between services to give money in celebration of a cancer survivor, in memory of a cancer fighter, and in partnership with those currently fighting cancer. Look for the table in the Gathering Area to learn more.
SummerSong worship on Thursday evenings: We gather on the back lawn at 6 pm on Thursday evenings for a reverent but casual service, which lasts about 30 minutes. Kids can play in their parents' view at the playground, and everyone enjoys the treats of Pastor Popsicle after the worship has ended.
Summer Stretch — Free Car Wash! Summer Stretch youth are providing car washes on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:15 am on July 7 and 14. The car wash is located in the parking lot at Trinity Lutheran Church. Who can get their car washed? Senior citizens, but all are welcome!
Help equip the ship! We are collecting supplies we need for VBS! Take a ship donation tag from the Children’s Ministry VBS display. Return the item with the ship tag taped to it to Terri Green.
Kids, don’t miss the boat! Join us for games, crafts, Bible adventures, snack, music and more! Register online for the afternoon session of VBS 1:30-4:30 PM. High Seas is August 2-6 for kids turning 3 year olds – 7th grades. The Uncharted Youth, kids who have just finished grades 5-7, do a super cool youth program. Are your kids registered for fall Children Ministry Classes? Please take 2 minutes to go online and register your child for Sunday School, Club 56 and WAVE. You do need to register if you participated this past year!
· Education options are open to children who will be 2 years of age on or before September 1, 2010 through 6th grade. Classes run Sept-May 2011.
· You have 3 options to choose from: Sundays at 9:15 or 10:30 am or Wed. at 5:30 pm.
· Please note that at least 2 age categories will display for your child, as some kids enter a grade earlier or later than normal. Choose the class for your child that corresponds with the age they will be as of September 2010 or grade they will be in if school age.
· If you haven’t already used our online registration system, you will need to setup a household account before registering your kids. If your family has used our online system, just go back in with your user name and password. To Register: Go to www.oslcstillwater.org, click on Returning Family or New User on the Home Page.
· You will get a confirmation email shortly after you register.
· Priority placement is given to families who teach or serve on the team!

East Metro Women’s Council. We are a transitional housing program in your community that houses over 400 people per year. (including over 200 children under the age of 5 years old) . This summer we will be taking in 15 new families that will need many items as most come with only the clothes on their backs! We are looking for basic household goods; dishes, silverware, pots & pans, fans, alarm clocks, vacuum cleaners, beds, dressers, lamps, couches, chairs kitchen tables & chairs, new pillows, gently used clean blankets, linens, cribs (no drop sides and slats no more than 3” apart), high chairs, strollers.
