We are called to shine. Light offers vision, warmth and energy. At Our Savior’s our vision from God is clear, the congregation offers a caring warmth, and we experience the energy of the Holy Spirit. Scripture reminds us: “The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness does not overcome it.” (John 1:5) We are called to shine God’s light here, there and everywhere.

The world is longing to see the tangible evidence of God’s love shining in the darkness. Would you prayerfully consider joining Jesus in this mission and shine for all to see God’s light through you?

God’s love flows deeply through the caring community of Our Savior’s. As people encounter us in-person and online, lives are touched by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to demonstrate God’s love to all. In the past year, we’ve welcomed many new members and friends, and reached out to our hurting world in concrete ways.

We are called to shine in our dark world, that all may know the hope we have in God’s love. We shine here, there and everywhere. During the last year, Our Savior’s learned creative ways to let our lights shine.

We shine here: Our congregational connections through worship and ministries for all ages are changing lives. We are energized by our weekly gatherings and deepened friendships. Our youth program, VBS, music and worship was awarded the “Best in the Valley” according to the Stillwater Gazette People’s Choice Awards.

We shine there: Our new neighbors of Zvago moved next door to us. Our preschool is bursting at the seams. We made capital improvements with our playground and back wall repair. We are called to take care of our church home to shine brightly into the city of Stillwater. While eighty percent of Minnesotans state they believe in God, only twenty percent are actively involved in a local congregation. We have an incredible opportunity to shine our lights for all to see.

We shine everywhere to generously demonstrate God’s love to our mission partner congregations. We continue to serve locally in St. Paul, and globally in Tanzania, Jamaica and Guatemala. We were blessed this past year to have many of our mission partners visit us.
